Place Your Bets Week 15

Well, I'm coming off my best week of the year with a 4-1 mark and solid performance on the cross talk picks I gave out live on the air last week. Opposite schedules today made it impossible for the live show so you have the written version this week! Let's see if I can get to 5-0 this week!

Cincinnati @ St. Louis +6
St. Louis only getting less then a TD vs a team who is still in the playoff hunt...although dropping fast, this is one the Bengals have to win or they can put a fork in their playoff hopes. If they lose this they have no business in the playoffs anyway! The Rams are dreadful and may be starting Kellen Clemens who was signed off waivers 2 weeks ago, and is on his third team of 2011. T.J. Yates beat him out for the Houston job when it became available. John Beck beat him out as second string in DC in training camp...yep he is bad. Cinci gets it going again this week. Take the Bengals give the points.

New England @ Denver +6.5
Its December and we have two teams that are leading their division, and the home team is a 6.5 pt dog? When has this ever happened? That said, it isn't enough! I am a Tebow fan, don't get me wrong. I love a leader and a winner. But these guys cannot afford to fall behind the Patriots. So the truth of the matter is, will the Broncos be able to score as much as the Pats? Unfortunately not. This is not a game they can win by kicking field goals. This is also not Minnesota they are playing against. Although the Patriots defense is abysmal, look at how they made Rex Grossman look like a Pro-bowler last week, aside from his two normal turnovers at the worst possible times, BUT, the Broncos can't score at will and Belicheck will be ready with a scheme of some sort. I like the Pats to win by a TD or more.

San Francisco vs. Pittsburgh EVEN
The Niners are a nice story. But let's face it, when the lights have shined the brightest, and against playoff caliber teams, they have lost. Thanksgiving night vs the Ravens and early in the year vs. Dallas both losses. Last week on the road in the division to Arizona, loss. Only two signature wins both late game heroic wins at Detroit and vs the Giants. The other 8 wins are all against teams that are likely not playoff teams, or are dreadful teams who will be picking in the top 6 or 8 picks in the draft. Pittsburgh has not played well on the road, but has only lost to two teams, both of which have clinched playoff berths (Houston and Baltimore twice). The Steelers also have played a fairly soft schedule with only one signature win over New England. So it is a battle of two teams who are over-rated. The game is at SF, but Pittsburgh has December playoff experience on its side. Charlie Batch will be a drop off if he plays, but he has been in the Steelers system for a long time. I like the Steelers because of their experience in December and January. Plus they have won 8 of 9 as opposed to San Fran who has lost2 of the last 3. Take the Steelers.

Arizona vs Cleveland +7

Cleveland last played on Thursday night a week ago. They have played almost everyone tight. Arizona is set up for a trap game here coming off of the big win vs the 49ers last week. Seneca Wallace appears to be starting which is an advantage for the Browns as he knows the system but there is no tape on him this year. He brings a few additional elements with his legs that Colt McCoy does not. This change in style will help the Browns. The spread is a TD, I believe the Cardinals let the Browns hang around, and they cover that number and probably win outright! Take the Browns and the points!

New Orleans @ Minnesota +7

This is a big spread for a home dog. However, Christian Ponder has struggled. AP will be back, but that is no big deal as that is what most teams expect when they plan for the Vikings. He will help for sure, but just like the Broncos, the Vikings don't have enough offense to keep up with the Saints. The Saints are also going up against a Vikings secondary that is ravished by injury. It should be a great day for Brees owner, and for you if you take the Saints to roll the Vikings...

Sunday Shots

Snapping out of my Turkey coma this morning ...time to get back to business. Here are some things for you to look at when giving your FFB lineup one more look this morning.

1. DJ Ware is on track to play Monday night so if you were planning on going with B.Jacobs he will probably be sharing time again. Was hoping to get a look at Jacobs as the feature this week.

2. AP is officially out. Don't get too excited about Toby Gerhart vs the #2 ranked rush defense of the Falcons. If you need a deep flex play I would not be against starting Gerhart who could get you 50-60 yds and a score, but that is probably his upside.

3. Colts RB J.Addai practiced in full on Friday and will probably be back. I don't trust Addai until I see him make it through a ball game.

4. Philly WR J. Maclin will probably sit again, which gives Riley Cooper another shot at a start. I like Cooper who brings alot of size and red zone play making ability to the table.

5. Welcome back Julio Jones this week vs a miserable Minnesota Jones if he is active and I think he will be.

6. Don't get too excited about Cleveland RB P.Hillis having a Q beside his name...he probably won't play...Hardesty will be back in part time duty along with Oby-Wan ...avoid your Browns this week at Cincy.

7. For you owners holding onto's time to drop him...Best is officially out for the year with concussion symptoms and should be rethinking his career path as a RB.

Last week via Twitter I gave you some sleeper specials to run out and I hit big on them with M.Moore throwing 3 TDs and Jerome Simpson catching 8 balls over over 150 yards. This week we go real deep on our sleepers with Chaz Schilens from the Raiders and Taylor Price WR Patriots...Not sure I would play Price just yet, but get him on your radar as Ocho-Cinco sits today for the Pats. Price looked good in the preseason. Schilens has done well in limited duty over the past two seasons and may get a chance to shine today with DHB and D.Moore possibly out of the lineup.

Goodluck today...the playoffs are coming so every win is crucial.

Place Your Bets week 12

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving with their loved ones! If you are ahead in your games from Thursday, you can take some risks on the weekend, or if you are behind you will need some advice! Here is my advice coming off a 3-2 week from my segment of the radio show last week.

Game of the week: New England over Philly even

This pick is "off" in most pick'em leagues meaning that oddsmaker's took it off the board because of uncertainties regarding the game. The most notable uncertainty is Mike Vick. But there are other injury issues as well, mostly on the Eagles side of the ball. Regardless of any of that, Philly at full strength vs. NE at full strength, I am taking NE. So with the various injuries to the Eagles, it is a lock that the Patriots will win this match-up. Even with the game at Philly. Take the Pats.

Atlanta vs Minnesota +9.5

It is rare for me to take this big of a dog against a team that I don't feel is elite like Atlanta. However, once again injuries play a big factor here for Minnesota. Adrian Peterson looks to be out, or if he plays certainly he will be limited. All signs point to him being out. He is the only effective offensive weapon the Viks have. Toby Gerhart has done a nice job in similar situations in the past and running a few trick plays with Percy Harvin will work ok for the first half. In reality they won't be running much in the second half anyway due to the scoreboard. That is because of the second key injury which is Antoine Winfield who is the Vikings best DB who is now on IR. Atlanta still has Roddy White and Julio Jones at WR and Mike Turner and Matt Ryan at RB and QB. This quartet will be too much for the depleted Minnesota D to handle. Atlanta easily outscores Minnesota by double digits, so take the Falcons and give the 9.5.

Pittsburgh @ Kansas City +10.5

This time of year it is difficult to predict when bad teams play good teams. Its easy to pick the winner, but the spread is much more difficult. This is one of those games. Pittsburgh has been normal on the road. Kansas City has been good at home. Kansas City looked good early on vs New England last week, but then terrible as the game progressed. I would not be surprised if KC comes out strong again this week, especially at home. They are still in the mix for their division even as bad as they are. However, Pittsburgh cannot afford to lose this one either or risk dropping out of the race for their division and possibly even endanger their wild card hopes. So the Steelers will win, but will they cover this double digit number? I say yes. But of all the picks I'm giving out this is the one I give with the least confidence. But I still do like the Steelers in this one, just not sure if they will win by more then 10. Take the Steelers give the points.

New York Jets vs Buffalo +9

This is a must win for the Jets vs division mates the reeling Bills who just lost their entire offense of late, Fred Jackson for this game. This is another one that seems simple, but the Jets never seem to make things simple. They have had a lot of offensive struggles of late, especially Mark Sanchez. Its another scary one, but Buffalo has been completely dreadful of late, and it is hard to imagine them scoring 10 points so the Jets offense won't need to do much. Take the Jets at home and give the points (AGAIN!)

Indianapolis vs Carolina -3.5

Ok here we go...this is Indy's best chance to come off the snide. They are at home, off a bye and against a team that is almost as bad as they are. I believe in the Colts this week, even though it sounds crazy! If ever there was a week for them to win its here! At best they should be able to keep it within a FG which would mean they cover! Whatever fans are still coming to the park will be cheering loudly for the Colts. Jump on the Colts and look like a genius! Colts take the points.

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Doubt we are going to get around to doing a full Prep for you this week, but on Friday I will post some Sit / Start information to get you through your weekend. A few interesting things happened today around the fantasy world. The ride on the Fred Jackson train is now over as he was IR'd by the Bills today. In fantasy circles today owners are left scrambling for the CJ Spiller, Toby Gerhart, Ryan Grant and Kevin Smith's of the world to fill in. None of these guys will get you Fjax numbers, so all you can do is look at the matchups and fill week to week the best you can. Also, you have to love the news that Kyle Orton has been snatched up by the Chiefs. When Matt Cassell went down so did the values of all the chiefs WRs. Now with Orton in house guys like Steve Breaston and "some where over" Dwayne Bowe should regain some fantasy relevance.

Place Your Bets Week Ten

Busy week for me, only have about 5 minutes, so here is the quick rundown:

Philly even Arizona: PHILLY
Denver @ KC -3: KC
SanFran vs Giants +3.5: SanFran PICK OF THE WEEK
Green Bay vs Minn +13.5: Minn covers
Houston at Tampa Bay +3: Houston

Sorry can't elaborate...but didn't want to leave everyone hanging completely!

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Arizona at Philadelphia 1:00 PM FOX Lincoln Financial Field
Start Philly D/St - Zona sports one of the most disfunctional Oline's in the game.
Start - Beanie Wells and Larry Fitzgerald, sadly as a WR 2.
Philly's offense gets back on track here with nice games from Maclin, Djax, Vick
and McCoy who has been flat money all year.
Sit - B.Celek, Arizona QB, Kolb or Skelton and Early Doucet.

Tennessee at Carolina 1:00 PM CBS Bank of America Stadium
Start Camster, Smith and J.Stewart and G.Olsen
Sit - DeAngelo Williams and B.Lafell and Naanee.
Start Matt Hasselback
Sleeper is Damien Williams
Sit Tennessee RBs.
Tenn work will be working through the air trying to keep up with Cam and Company

Houston at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM CBS Raymond James Stadium
Start - Arian Foster, Schaub(temper expectations without Andre3000 who will
most likely sit until after the week 11 bye), and start Owen Daniels
Sit - J.Jones, K.Walter can't trust either of them.
Sleeper - Joel "salad" Dreesen
Modest Start is Josh Freeman...never goes off but is steady
In ppr's only start Mike Williams. Start L.Blount.
Sleeper for Tampa is Dezmon Briscoe.

Washington at Miami 1:00 PM FOX Sun Life Stadium
Start Roy Helu
Start R.Bush and B.Marshall
Sit - the rest

Jacksonville at Indianapolis 1:00 PM CBS Lucas Oil Stadium
Start MJD, Jags D/St
Start P.Garcon
Sleeper - Mercedes Lewis
Sit - the rest

Denver at Kansas City 1:00 PM CBS Arrowhead Stadium
Start Tebow, Magahee, Decker (be careful though, he is still only a no.3 WR at best.
You want proof...Tebow threw 5 times total in the second half last week. With
that small of an opportunity window there will be some clunkers along the way.
Sit Knowshon Moreno and D.Fells and Demaryius Thomas.

Start Matt Cassell - if you are hurting at QB Matt should bounce back here.
also run out D.Bowe and you can use J.Battle as a flex guy...should also bounce back.
I also like Steve Breaston this week...keeps doing it especially in pprs.
Sit - Jon Baldwin...the rook is gonna be patient.
also sit both dreadful D/St's

Buffalo at Dallas 1:00 PM CBS Cowboys Stadium
Start - Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson and Freddy Jax
Sleeper - David Nelson - big redzone target making the most of his targets.
Sit - Scott Chandler...will not do much in this matchup.
Start T.Romo - Bills have zero pass rush and Romo usually feasts with time
in the pocket. Start Witten and Dez Bryant and Demarco Murray who will be
ok but not great in his first so so start of the year.
Sleeper - Laurent Robinson - love this play as a no.3 WR.

New Orleans at Atlanta 1:00 PM FOX Georgia Dome
Start Brees and Sproles and Graham...the big fantasy 3 for the Saints.
Sit - Deverey Henderson and R.Meachum and Mark Ingram who should be
back from injury this week.
Modest a no.3 back I still think PT Cruiser could be of use this week.
ATL Starts include Matt Ryan (coming on of late) J.Jones, Turner and R.White
who has really disappointed this year and is looking more like a fantasy no.2 at
this point. Start Tony G...the ageless one.

St. Louis at Cleveland 1:00 PM FOX Cleveland Browns Stadium
Two teams looking for answers...the experts say sit pretty much every one in this
matchup, but I like S.Jackson for the Rams and I like Colt McCoy to have his first
good game for the Brownies in some time.
Sleeper in this game is Greg Little...if he can't score here he never will. I am
running him out in several leagues but will cut bait with him if he does not have
a real nice game this Sunday.

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati 1:00 PM CBS Paul Brown Stadium
Should be a big defensive battle. I like Mendenhall this week and Mike
Wallace. Big Ben will be solid but not spectacular.
Andy Dalton is not a terrible play here as he will make the smart plays...won't
put up big numbers but could get two scores with his fast WR combo of
AJ Green and J.Simpson.
Sleeper - Jermaine Greshem returns this week and is nice in the red zone.
Sit - Antonio Brown and Cedric Benson

Baltimore at Seattle 4:05 PM CBS CenturyLink Field
Seattle is a sneaky good defense...especially at home so this one has the makes of an
ugly game for fantasy owners. Give me Ray Rice for sure and maybe Boldin gets
one score here...the rest..I don't want any part of it. I think M.Lynch's 4 game
scoring streak comes to an end here. Keep Torrey Smith on your radar...the kid
is really coming along...Lee Evans coming back...oh no! please no!

NY Giants at San Francisco 4:15 PM FOX Candlestick Park
Another Defensive game is on tap here...I do not think the Giants will be able
to run the ball at all here so look for alot of passes and a decent game out of Eli
and his WR's....H.Nicks could be back from his hammy this week...keep a watch on
that and adjust Manningham's value down if Nicks is back and leave Cruz active in
your lineup.
SF Starts include Gore if the ankle is healthy and Kendell Hunter if he for sorme reason
gets the carries...the Giants can be ran on. 49er WRs are banged up so stay away.
V.Davis has a great opportunity to break outta his funk this week.

Detroit at Chicago 4:15 PM FOX Soldier Field
Hope to see a bunch of points in this one. Start Stafford and Megatron off the bye
I don't love Stafford on the road in Chicago, but Megatron can help turn a bad
day into a good fantasy day in a hurry. B.Pettigrew is a sneaky play here.
Sit the rest of the Dtown WRs this week.
For the Bears M.Forte will continue to run wild, but will Marion the Barbarian
continue to steal his goal line thunder. Barber has become a flex play in deep
leagues. Cutler is a decent start here as well, but only God can tell you who
he will throw it too. Bears DST is not a bad play this week. At home they usually
force the turnovers and Hester is always a threat on special teams.

New England at NY Jets 8:20 PM NBC MetLife Stadium
Don't panic Brady owners...I can see a hard fought win on the road here.
Start Tommy and his TE's Hernandez and Gronk. The
"Law Firm" went off last time out vs the Jets so look for him to score again.
Branch scares me this week, but can be used as a no.3 if needed.

Mark Sanchez should put up decent numbers and throw for two scores.
Shonn Greene worries me in this one...something tells me the Jets will throw
alot vs the Pats weak pass defense.
Wildcard - Plaxico Burress - this guy is coming along and is a great high risk high
reward play in this one...If you need him as a fill in...throw him in there.

MNF - To honor ole' Hank "Are You Ready For Some Football!!!???"
I gotta pig in the ground, got some beer on ice an all my rowdy friends
are comin' over tonight.....
Minnesota at Green Bay 8:30 PM Lambeau Field
Start your Packers baby!!! and rest in your fantasy nirvana.
For the Vikings other than AP...well....goodluck with that.
I don't hate what Ponder brings to the table, but not in this environment.

GOODLUCK in week 10

Place Your Bets Week Nine

Wes has to work his 9-5 this week, so no radio broadcast today. Might be a good change of pace as the last two weeks have been rough for me. Sinking me from my high peek of 72% down to around only a pathetic 50%. Law of averages says I'm due for a bounce back week. Last week we saw that those averages can come into effect with just about every bad team (except my Redskins) coming to work and covering and/or winning.

This week has a lot of marquee match-ups and some very challenging picks. The NFL preaches parody and that was the first week we have seen it this season. I do not think it will rear its head two weeks in a row. Here are my picks:

New Orleans vs Tampa Bay +8

This is one of two spreads (the other is my next pick), that jumped off the page at me. The Bucs are continuing to get the snub this year and the Saints appear to still be getting lots of love off of their SB win 2 years ago. We have not seen this as much in 2011, but it is here this week. Tampa is coming off of a bye and has a divisional road game. This is the perfect time for a team on the cusp to face the divisional bully in their backyard. Couple that with a HUGE 8 point spread and I'm loving the Bucs this week certainly to keep it within a touchdown, if not win the game straight up. Some further trends I love, Tampa is 8-1 against the spread (ATS) as a road underdog, the Saints 0-6 ATS at home vs divisional opponent. Jump on the well-rested Bucs.

ATLANTA @ Indy Colts +7

Indy needs a bye week, the Falcons are coming off of one. Atlanta cannot drop this game if they want to stay on the contender list in the NFC. Playing the winless Colts off a bye is one you must win or else you are a fraud. That said, I believe Atlanta will fall short of the playoffs, but not at this point! They will crush the Colts, easily winning by the 7 points, and more likely double digits. Grab the Falcons, give the points.

Kansas City vs. Miami +4

This is another one that's hard to believe. Miami will trick a lot of people into taking them this week despite the low spread. KC is one of the toughest buildings to play in, and the Chiefs are rolling right now. It could be a trap game for them except they will be looking at the film from last week where the Fins almost "trapped" the Giants and will hopefully see what made the Miami squad successful. Matt Moore and Reggie Bush are the answers to that trap. They had a great first half, helped out by key blunders by the Giants. KC was also very opportunistic last week on MNF, but you don't win 4 straight on luck. Take the Chiefs and the friendly spread.

Tennessee vs Cincinnati -3

I wanted to pick some of the less popular matches this week as those are often places where you can make up big points because many people float past them and give them low points because they don't know much about the teams, which is a good idea, or the alternative is, do some research! Trends don't favor either team, I just think the Bengals are better until CJ gets it going. A one dimensional team with an old QB has 7-9 written all over it. I see the young and hungry and winning Bengals mauling the Titans in this one.

Green Bay @ San Diego +5.5

Good teams win off of a bye. You have heard me say that, and as the season drags on it becomes more and more true. Green Bay is the only undefeated team. Neither squad will likely have much of a running game, I'll take Aaron Rodgers in a shootout over any other QB starting this week. Take the Pack

Final Game: Pittsburgh vs Baltimore +3

After the week one drubbing the Steelers took at Baltimore it is hard to believe how far we have come to have them as the favorites even at home. But we have to remember, they had 7 turnovers. I think I can safely say that won't happen again. Baltimore will snap out of their slump eventually, and might have done it in the second half vs AZ, or AZ might simply be a bad team who has given up 3 or 4 similar leads this season in the second half. Pittsburgh at home in a grudge match, is hard to pass up. Baltimore has been average of late. Gotta take the home team who is also the better looking squad right now. Steelers -3

Feel free to follow me on Twitter @ gobeyondthebox or email me at the same handle @gmail.

The blogtalk radio show should be back next week!

Scouting the Wire for Week 9

Team getting a little stale? Need some fresh meat to run out there on Sunday? It's time to hit the wire and see what improvements we can make for week 9 of the NFL season.

Kansas City WR J.Baldwin - The rookie looks to be healthy now and he provides a big target opposite Bowe for Cassell. The schedule for the Chiefs over the next few weeks looks great for fantasy so take a chance on Baldwin especially in keeper leagues.

Tenn.Titans RB - Javon Ringer - Now is a full fledged split with CJ2K Ringer can catch the ball and provide a spark to your fantasy team. Ringer is not an elite talent, but at this stage of the year bye week fill in's at RB are hard to find.

N.E.Patriots RB Kevin Faulk - fresh off the PUP list Faulk came out looking pretty good and could provide a nice backup RB slot on your fantasy team. I prefer to pick him up in PPR's.

Eagles TE Brent Celek - You may not get this past Sunday's numbers out of Celek every week, but it is interesting to note his high targets the last two Eagles games. If you took a chance on SF TE Delanie Walker throw him back and snag up Celek and at least wait and see.

Dallas Cowboy WR Laurent Robinson - In deeper leagues Robinson is worth a look. Miles Austin owners are cursing the ground that this guy walks on due to J.Garrett's odd call of putting Austin in the slot last week and running Robinson out on the outside opposite Dez Bryant. Keep and eye on this...if it continues he is worth a look due to Dallas' fairly good fantasy schedule down the stretch.

If you are looking for a QB Matt Cassell can be found on many a waiver wire and has a very easy schedule over the next few weeks. Others you can look for are Sam Bradford who has been mostly dropped across the board and has a good 2nd half schedule as well as K.Kolb who has a good matchup in week 9 vs Sam's Rams and a few more down the stretch that should have his 2nd half numbers looking better as well.

Time to sure up your handcuffs...Kendell Hunter and B.Tate, Ronnie Brown, Monterio Hardesty and others are floating around the wire right now with most managers crunched for roster space due to the bye weeks. If you did not draft your handcuff and have the space for them now...go out and get them to provide yourself some security down the stretch. Take this opportunity, this second chance to secure you backups.

If there is someone you are targeting in leagues right now not on our list please post it in the comments and tell us why you are looking at that player.

NFL Costumes for Halloween!!!

Ahh it's the time of year when we can dress up and pretend to be someone else. As a big fan of the NFL I say we should all dress up as some of our favorite NFL players or former players and support the league. Below are some ideas for you as you prepare to go out and get some candy.

Invited to a big party tonight and don't wanna go? Dress up like Chris Johnson so you don't have to show up.

Wanna go as John Beck...slip on a Grossman jersey. (you'll get that tomorrow)

Gotta Ocho-Cinco jersey, u can go as the Invisible Man.

Grab a clip board and a golf club and go as Peyton Manning

Dress up as the Colts or Dolphins and go as a prostitute (you don't accept cash or credit cards...just QB's from Stanford)

Dress up like Rex Ryan an go as Jabba the Hut or stick with the Star Wars theme and dress up like Rob Ryan and go as Chewbacca.

Try throwing on some World League Football gear and go as the St.Louis Rams

Well I hope you guys get a chance to try some of these out...I would sit here and think of some more for you with the help of my good friends Deadheadbill and Adam K. but I have my own party to get to...I found a cool Fat Albert costume at Walmart...I'm going as Jamarcus Russell. My wife is dressing as two huge tatas....she is going as Jamarcus Russell as well...BUST!!!

Good Evening (said in my best Vincent Price voice)

Quick Slants Week 8

In week 8 we again have several teams on the bye leaving us with some gaping holes in our lineups. In more than one league I have hit the wire to fill these spots because my bench did not have enough bodies to fill up the spots. If you have this same issue going into week 8 then never fear theShow is here and this is what I would be looking for.

1. If you are in a league where Pierre Thomas is on the wire go snag him right now as he will most likely get the start vs the hapless Rams as Ingram will probably sit due to an injury.

2. I snapped up Knowshon Moreno in a bunch of leagues when Willis Magahee went down with a broken hand. The new Tebow led Broncos will be ultra conservative meaning lots of work for Moreno on the ground and catching short passes.

3. I see alot of teams picking up Antonio Brown with Hines Ward likely to sit Sunday. Emmanuel Sanders is going to start the game over Brown so take that into consideration.

4. If you have Sam Bradford for your bye week QB...look elsewhere because this week it's going to be A.J. Feeley unless Sam has a miraculous recovery from his high ankle sprain this weekend.
It really sucks to be a Rams fan right now...I pitty myself.

5. You Matt Stafford owners can put Shaun Hill back on the wire now...Matt should be ready to roll barring a setback.

6. Andre3000 is a game time decision this Sunday so check your injury reports Sunday morning. If he plays he is a must start.

7. Beanie Wells is wanting to play vs the Ravens despite the banged up knee. I don't think he will play and I don't like his matchup this week anyway. Alphonzo Smith will probably start and be the main ball carrier if Beanie sits. In ppr's Stephens-Howling could be the play as the Cards would most likely be playing from behind.

8. No word on J.Addai yet so you Delone Carter owners stand pat for now.

Finding alot of decent WR plays on the wire this week such as Steve Breaston, David Nelson, Greg Little and Lance Moore. Moore only has one td but the Rams have given up 11 WR tds this season...that leads the league. Also Brandon Lafell continues to make plays and can be found on most waiver wires...he is always someone I look to when in desperate need of a WR filler. The word with these type of plays is upside and matchups...if you have one or the other or both...roll 'em out, you could do worse on your bye week.

As for RB's Kendell Hunter was dropped by many teams when SF had it's bye...he is always going to get some run for the conservative niners so snap him up if you are in desperate need of upside at that position. Others to looks at are R.Helu who should be the man in Washington by the end of this year, Bernard Scott (one week play while Benson is suspended), and the aforementioned Knowshon favorite wire grab of the week.

If you need a TE give Delanie Walker and Jared Cook a look and consider Evan Moore if Ben "it's elementary" Watson sits due to a concussion.

Spot play DST's I like this week are Buffalo, Cincy, and the NY Giants.

Good Luck this weekend.

Your Byes for week 7 are Buffalo, Cincinnati, New England, NY Giants, Philadelphia,
and San Francisco

San Diego at NY Jets 1:00 PM CBS MetLife Stadium
Start: Ryan Matthews, Rivers, Gates(he's back)
cautious play: Vjack - B.Marsh did just fine on Revis Island and so should Vincent.
Sit - Mike Tolbert and M.Floyd

Start - LT - he is my sleeper in this game...first time out vs old team.
Start - Santonio Holmes - getting in a groove of late.
Sit - M.Sanchez, D.Keller (hasn't done much of late) and Burress(see Keller)

Chicago at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM FOX Wembley Stadium
Kinda cracks me up that the owner of Tampa gives up a home game to parade
his other team, the Bucs over in Soccer country, the home of the team that he
really cares about - Manchester United.
Start - Josh Freeman (looking more like a fantasy QB of late)
also run out the cracker man Earnest Graham again will carry the load for TB
Sit - WR Mike Williams and K.Winslow (neither sniffing the end zone this season)
Sleeper - A.Benn was drafted higher and now seems to be the more explosive WR in TB

Start - Matt Forte, D.Hester and Cautiously run out Jay Cutler who is not a bad fantasy QB.
Sit - The rest of the Bears offense.

Washington at Carolina 1:00 PM FOX Bank of America Stadium
Start - Ryan Torain - consider last week a hiccup. Panthers are bad defending the run and
RT redeems himself this week. S.Moss is due this week so play him.
Sit - Skins TE's (stay off that merri-go-round), T.Hightower
Sleeper: J.Gaffney is not a bad bye week filler this week.

Start: Cam and Steve Smith and G.Olsen
Sit: Carolina RB's....who can figure out why these good backs are being under utilized.
Sleeper for Carolina continues to be B.Lafell - this kid is a home run hitter.

Atlanta at Detroit 1:00 PM FOX Ford Field

The ATL looked alot better last week and I think they will go into the dome and give the Lions
all they can handle in Detriot especially with the Dtown running game without Jahvid Best.

Maurice Morris is the fill in for now for Best who will not play this week and K.Williams is
someone to put on your radar. I still think this team goes out and deals for someone that can
run inside...if they don't they won't go far come playoff time.

Start the usual suspects from the Dtown offense. Keep an eye on Nate Burleson to see if
he can have a 2nd good week...he's a risky play but it really depends on your bye week
troubles. Start Brandon Pettigrew with Scheffler out BP is getting it done with all the looks.
Sit Titus Young.

For the ATL run out Roddy White and expect Roddy White numbers. If Roddy struggles again
this week then there is something up and he may not be healthy. J.Jones could be a scratch again this week...if he plays he is a good wr 3 or flex play...doubt he will go with the bad hammy. Always check your injury reports! Turner has been great so keep playing him.
Sit Tony Gonzalez this week - he has not been doing much.

Seattle at Cleveland 1:00 PM FOX Tickets Cleveland Browns Stadium
Only two people in the Seattle offense are worthy in my opinion of starting this week and they
are Sidney Rice and Marshawn Lynch who I expect to have a solid game and is a good flex
play in week 7. Sit Charlie Whitehurst and the rest of the Seattle offensive players.

Colt McCoy has got it done from a fantasy perspective and is a popular bye week filler QB
this week. I like Colt and his new no1 WR Greg Little vs the Seahags. I do not expect Peyton
Hillis to play this week so if you must start a Cleveland RB Monterio Hardesty can be used as
a low end no.2 - flex starter. TE Ben Watson is a low end start as well. Sit other Cleveland WR's
and the aforementioned P.Hillis even if he plays...I don't trust him at all this week.

Denver at Miami 1:00 PM CBS Tickets Sun Life Stadium
Tim Tebag finally gets his start and hopfully will roll this week and shut up all the ESPN idiots whohave buried him before he's even began his NFL career...lay off the kid! People want to see that desire and heart Tebow brings to a game where alot of people are simply collecting pay checks. Of course if he does succeed you will hear "well it's only Miami", you can bet on that.

Start Tim and I would not be afraid to use McGahee and Knowshon Moreno this week. If you held onto Knowshon all this time you are finally going to see an uptick in his value with Tebow running things for Denver. The passes may be shorter and less frequent, but the offense should move along fine. Now other than Eric Decker I am not sure if I would start any other Denver WR's. I know it's tempting to run out Demaryius Thomas or Eddie Royal now that they seem to be healthy for the first time all year, but if it's me I wait and see and take a look at the targets as we find out who Timmy's favorite WRs are going to be (TIMMAY!)

On the Dolphins side of things - I don't hate Matt Moore here and think he is going to have a nice game along with B.Marsh. Start D.Thomas and stay away from R.Bush unless you are desperate in a ppr format. Sleeper in this one is D.Bess..a decent bye week fill in.

Houston at Tennessee 1:00 PM CBS Tickets LP Field
Great game in the home of country music.
Start Matt Hasselbeck, CJ2K and Nate Washington this week.
Sleeper for the week is Damien Williams(not a huge fan, but don't hate this matchup for him.
Wait and see on Jared Cook - I can see good things out him in the 2nd half.

Sit Schaub - Don't like the other Matt this week on the road vs a fresh Tenn. DST.
ya have to run out A.Foster who is just a man amongst boys out there as he carries the Houston offense. Owen Daniels continues to be a good target in this toned down version of the Houston O. It's hard to recommend either K.Walt or Jacoby Jones...if i have to play one for a bye week fill in it's def. gonna be Jones. Sit B.Tate...may scrounge out a few goal lines but is clearly just a hand cuff now. If you are a Foster owner do not drop Tate!

Kansas City at Oakland 4:05 PM CBS Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
KC - Start M.Cassell and D.Bowe
Sleeper is Jackie Battle (flex option)
bye week fill in favorite here is Steve Breaston who I am playing in several leagues wk 7. Hopefully Steve won't burn me like Mike Jenkins did a few weeks back when I went out on a limb and started him in several leagues and got jack for it.

For Oakland this is a tough week to play any of the WRs not knowing what we will get out of Carson Palmer early on. I have to say the smart thing to do is avoid all Oakland WRs this week and if you have to play one use Haywood-Bey who is the most consistent of this crew.
It goes without saying always play Run DMC and sit Bush.
Sleeper is K.Boss - With a better QB you will see the TE utilized more especially early on.

Pittsburgh at Arizona 4:05 PM CBS U of Phoenix Stadium
Big Ben and Mike Wallace and Rashard Mendenhall are all must plays this week.
Hines Ward is not a favorite of mine but it is hard to ignore him as a bye week fill in here.
Sit H.Miller, Redman, Dwyer.
Sleeper here is A.Brown...though I can't see playing him...only if you must.

Sit K.Kolb
Start Beanie Wells and Larry Fitzgerald who due to Kolb has been a massive disappointment, but you can't just sit him...he is too much of a freakish athlete so keep running him out.

Green Bay at Minnesota 4:15 PM FOX Mall of America Field
Rodgers set for a monster many weeks do we say it...start all Packer
WR's and just flip a coin if you want to flex one of the RB's cause they obviously do not need them to put up massive points. J.Jones keeps finding the end zone with few looks, but is risky.

Christian Ponder is a Sit this week as he gets his first start in the Wake of the McNabb benching.
I think we will see some nice stuff out of Ponder going forward and I expect to see a WR or two there in Minn. get off the milk carton (Percy!) thanks to having a QB in there that actually has an arm. Only guy in Minnesota I am playing this week is All Day A.P.

St. Louis at Dallas 4:15 PM FOX Cowboys Stadium
I can't look...someone blind fold me so I don't have to watch Dallas' talented WRs run all over this Rams secondary that has made guys like Torrey Smith look like the second coming of Jerry Rice.
Great week to have Romo and his crew...along with Demarco Murray and T.Choice both really nice flex starts this week with Felix nursing a bad ankle sprain.

On the Rams side S.Jackson is a hard working player that gets it done and is still a solid RB 2 as bad as this offense has been. Sam's high ankle sprain worries me and you really cannot start him, but his WR's have some promise this week with the addition of B.Lloyd which will free up some coverage for guys like G.Salas (ppr player) in the slot and Danario Alexander on the outside and in the redzone. If Sam can make it through the game with the ankle these WRs could get some nice garbage time stats.

Indianapolis at New Orleans 8:20 PM NBC Superdome
The O'fer Colts visit a pissed off Saints team which has this one getting ugly quickly.
Like the previous Rams vs Boyz matchup I say Start your Saints. With the Saints things are much more tricky because Drew Brees is an EWS, but he has so many weapons on that team it makes it tough to figure who will get the love week to week.
Start - M.Ingram in the flex (would be shocked if he did not score this week)
Start - Colston, Jimmy Graham and D.Sproles as well.
The only other guy I like is Moore who is risky but a great bye week filler for team enduring bye week hell. Sit - D.Henderson and R.Meachum who's targets are way down. Also Sit PT Cruiser.

MNF - Are You Ready For Some Foo....Wait a sec. political correctness has robbed us of our HANK so forget that. Oh well invite your rowdy friends over, put a pig in the ground and watch ya some MNF.
Baltimore at Jacksonville 8:30 PM ESPN EverBank Field
I expect to see both defenses flying around the football field. Ray Rice and Joe Flacco are real nice plays this week. Ray is not scoring the TDs this year and the Jags do defend the run well, but I can't see him not tasting pay dirt Monday night. A.Boldin got back on track last week so he is a strong no.2 wide out this week and our sleeper is Torrey Smith who I like this week even if L.Evans is back...Lee you are dead to me.

Over in Jags land MJD is such a warrior you must start him, but beware of the Jags offense led by the young QB Gabbert who is going to be a good one, but will show his happy feet this week vs a viscious Ravens DST. I just cannot recommend anyone else on the Jags offensive side unless you employ KR yards in your league then Dej Karim could be a sneaky play.

Goodluck Fantasy Freaks, Geeks, and Peeps...may you roll in week 7. Next week check us out for our HallowScream version of The Prep.

Quick Slants for Week 7

In today's quick slants we go over what you need to be looking for on the waiver wire for week 7.

In deeper leagues and 2 QB leagues some of you lost a QB or two this week with the injury to Jason Campbell and with the benching of Sexy Rexy Grossman, Kyle Orton and McNabb. We also saw the Raiders jerk the remote control from Carson Palmer's and give him a golden ticket back into the NFL. The Skins are going to start John Beck and the Vikings look to rookie Christian Ponder and the Broncos look to Tim Tebow(as if you didn't know from the endless sports center coverage). Palmer is obviously the better player of this new group of signal callers, but how long will it take him to get in sync. From a fantasy perspective the guy I would want out of this group is Tebow. Down the line I go with Palmer, Ponder then Beck who I don't expect very much out of at all. In keeper leagues I like Tebow and Ponder. I think Ponder will do well once he shakes the jitters off and he certainly cannot be any worse than McNabb has been. Percy Harvin has no TD's this year receiving...that should tell you enough right there to know it was time for a change.

Now when we look at the running backs we have some tasty waiver wire gems out there. Demarco Murray and Tashard Choice are facing a terrible Rams defense this week and can be found on many a waiver wire. Choice is going to be the least owned of the two but is just as likely to get touchdown's as Murray. I think Murray is the better back of the two, but that is not to say you get the lesser fantasy back if you end up with Choice. You should be able to use these two for a few weeks before Jones gets back from his injury. Another interesting pickup is E.Graham, again subbing for a dinged up L.Blount week 7...Graham is not out there in very many leagues right now, but if you are in the standard Yahoo league, it's worth a look. Over in Kansas city they are going to give Jackie Battle a look and maybe you should too if you are hurting at RB and have a need in your flex spot. The 28 year old back is nothing special, but will get his chance with Thomas Jones showing age and Dexter McCluster just not getting the job done. Looking ahead Cedric Benson has finally been served a one game suspension by the league looking ahead to week 8 you could go grab Bernard Scott now.
I have also noticed Marshawn Lynch out there on a few waiver I have said many times on The Prep programs Seattle has no one else and Marshawn will have a good post bye season I believe. Lynch won't light up the score board but he can get tough yards and should see more TD's as Seattle's schedule lightens up starting with a game at Cleveland giving up the 6th most pts to fantasy RB's this season. In Cleveland, what is up with Peyton Hillis? Look for Hardesty to receive the workload this week while Hillis heals up the hammy or cries more about wanting a the man he is Mr.Madden! He paid me to say that. Lastly, The Ronnie Brown deal has been vetoed so ....if you want a Lions back look at M.Morris or K.Williams.

Looking at the TE if you are in need of a TE D.Walker, a converted WR is showing signs of being a redzone target in SanFran...with Alex Smith having limited arm strength Harbaugh is doing a nice job of implementing a short passing game along with a bruising running game and Walker is seeing his share of looks as a second fiddle to Vernon Davis. Delanie scored in week 6 and dropped another td early in the game. Also in deeper leagues watch Daniel Fells in can bet Tebow will use the TE more than Orton did.

WR's are on and off the wire all year long...many times owners make the mistake of chasing last week's points rather than trying to play the matchups or trends. You saw Jacoby Jones being dropped across the board (gotta admit I canned him in a few leagues) after a 1 catch performance, but last week caught a nice TD and was targeted alot more. This week we saw alot of Raider WRs hitting the wire due to the loss of Jason Campbell and more because of who was his backup(Kyle Boller). Now with Palmer there it is only a matter of time until we see their WR corp putting up nice numbers...they have the speed and game breaking ability...the challenge will be watching to see who Carson latches on to in the coming weeks. Hayward-Bey is the safest bet out there right now, but after it will be your job to keep an eye on targets and trends and land whomever emerges as the 2 and maybe 3 WR in Oaktown.

Players you can find on the wire that can do some work for you this week are Jacoby Jones, Danario Alexander(doesn't play every down but is a redzone threat), L.Robinson(nice matchup here in deep leagues and is now the solid no.3 WR in Dallas), If Greg Little has yet to be taken off the wire in your league go get him now as he thrived in his first start with the Browns and is clearly their best WR. Steve Breaston went into KC's bye with a flourish and is a good play this weekend vs. the Raiders. I still think we will hear from the Raven's Torrey Smith again this year more than once so keep the speedster on your radar. Dane Sanzenbacher scored this past week(that's 3 td's for him), but did not receive alot of looks. Over in Denver with B.Lloyd now a Ram(yeah!) watch Royal, D.Thomas and Decker and pay attention as the next few weeks unfold to whom ole' Timmay targets(TIMMAY!). And lastly in ppr's Greg Salas is the new slot WR for the Rams and he is going to catch alot of balls down the stretch of this season, just don't expect many TDs along the way.

Guys I would not touch - don't get too worked up that Mike Sims Walker is back with the Jags. I would not roster this guy simply because of inconsistency. In most league you cannot afford a goose egg, but that is pretty much what you get from Mike about every other week.

Well this article got alittle longer than I expected...maybe I should rename it post routes for week 7? Good luck this weekend.

Quick Slants

Yahoo waivers cleared today...hope you got who you wanted. Here are some quick slants on what you could be doing to help your team this week.

Josh Freeman confirmed that Earnest Graham will handle the bulk of tailback duties with LeGarrette Blount (knee) not playing in Week 6. Translation - if you need an RB Graham is certainly serviceable as he can catch the ball and make the tough goal line runs.

Raiders rookie WR Denarius Moore has suddenly got alot more competition in the form of D.Hayward-Bey, Jacoby Ford, Chad Schilins and soon Louis Murphy. Moore is good...a true playmaker, but there may be too many mouths to feed now in Oakland and it could be time to cut bait on the kid and say thanks for the week 1-3 memories. The real problem is not the over abundance of young WR's in's the fact that they are a run team and do not throw enough for us to risk playing a 2nd or 3rd passing option in this offense. WR pecking order in Oaktown looks to be Hayward-Bey, Ford, Moore, and Murphy from here on out but any week could star any of the 4. May want to look at guys like Steve Breaston and even Hayward-Bey if you want to keep it a Raider themed wire move.

Rashard Mendenhall is not listed on the Steeler's Week 6 injury report. Translation: throw back Redman and roll out Mendenhall this week vs the Jags. Don't expect a huge game out of Mendy this week...more on that in the Prep for week 6.

WR Julio Jones is most likely out this week with a hammy injury (it's the year of the hamstring pull) Give Harry Douglas an uptick in value this week as ATL hosts Cam and the Panthers.

Antonio Gates - Still no word on this guy will even be ready for week 7...drafting him was a dream turned nightmare. If I were you and I was in contention in a keeper league I would try to deal him to someone who is looking to next year for someone that you can use now. There will be 0-6 and 1-5 teams in your league after this week. Same goes for Dallas Clark who is virtually I have to Painter you a picture? Deal him if you can anything useful for him. And hey, if you have a bad team Clark is gonna be a top guy again next year with Manning back so maybe go get him on the cheap in keepers.

D.Mason dealt to the Texans -don't go crazy...all this does is increase the team avg. age.

One last note...the league is still dragging it's feet on the Benson thing so if you are like me and have Bernard Scott in several leagues taking up a roster space...well keep on waiting if you must or can him for someone who can help you now....depends on the league and your current needs.

Well Fantasy freaks, The Prep for Week 6 will be posted tomorrow evening or you can listen to it live at at 2pm est.

If you have any week day lineup questions email me at or friend me on facebook (Wes Ramsey) and shoot me the lineup and we'll get you all set for Sunday.

Good luck this week - Show no mercy and get that win!

Every game, every week, we break it all down and we do it for you. Now go out and dominate!

Detroit at Dallas 1:00 PM FOX Cowboys Stadium
Start Stafford, Megatron and Best (flex option only)
Start Witten, Dez Bryant and F.Jones (rb2)
Sit - Romo, Burleson.
Injuries - B.Pettigrew (may play), Miles Austin is out.

Carolina at Chicago 1:00 PM FOX Soldier Field
The Bears will come after Cam and I do not like this matchup for him. Sit Cam this week. I like Cutler much more in this matchup and think
this will be his best game of the year. Hard to start any Bears WRs though I like a sneaky breakout week for J.Knox in week 4. M.Forte should star
this week landing a TD rushing and receiving.

On the Carolina side this week there is not much to like...I just don't see the Panthers doing much and can't even recommend DeAngelo Williams
as a flex start since he seems to be in a full blown split with Jonathan Stewart...that is a real mess...why pay D.will 43 mil and not give him the rock?
We talked about this two weeks ago, they are in love with letting Cam run around and doing his Mike Vick impression, but realistically they need to run the football
and they have the rbs to do it. S.Smith came back to earth this past week and I expect more of the same this week unless he can bust one up the seam
of the Bears cover 2. He is a wr 3 in my book this week. G.Olsen may be a nice TD play as I like to go with players who come back and play
against teams that traded them.

Buffalo at Cincinnati 1:00 PM CBS Paul Brown Stadium
Cincy's D has been pretty good this year and kept them in games, but can they slow down the College offense that Chan Gailey is running there in
Buffalo...he is basically running an NFL version of the spread with 3 wrs on the field most of the time. How can you not love Stevie Johnson and on a lesser
level D.Nelson who has been targeted right around 20 plus times over the last two weeks? TE S.Chandler is a huge target in the redzone and is not gonna
catch many balls but his chances of a td are good almost every week. Start Fitzpatrick...he's hot don't pull him now! Maybe the most underrated rb in
the league right now is Fred could probably get this guy via trade for a bigger name right now ...he is the man in Buffalo and the way
they are scoring...there are not alot of backs better in the league right now.

I expect Andy Dalton to have a better game this week and Benson to have an avg week of about 90 yds and maybe a td and ya gotta keep playing
AJ green even though he let you down last a no.3 wr he is a big game waiting to happen....and again if you can get him in a dynasty or keeper
setting take advantage of the bad week and get him! Hard to play Gresham on any given week because he depends so much on Dalton.

Tennessee at Cleveland 1:00 PM CBS Cleveland Browns Stadium
The mighty Browns are 2-1....well wait a sec... they played Cincy and lost, and they beat Miami and Indy...don't believe the Clev hype just yet...and don't
count out a tough Titans team. I like Hasselbeck and Nate Washington this week. Hasselbeck makes a decent play again this week and Nate Washington is looking like a low end WR2.
With Britt going down for the season be on the lookout for jared cook to finally get into the passing far this year
he has not been involved at all after a great preseason...put him on your watch list. Filling in for Britt will be Damien Williams..not a good route runner,
he is not usable at this point. And good Lord what has happened to CJ2K...hard not to start him drafted him high, how can you not run
him out there? Makes you wonder how Harper would do if he got some reps? CJ owners are hoping are hoping that he snaps out of this sooner than later.
This running into the pile and falling down bit is getting old! 2K yd seasons take their toll on players...only the great Eric Dickerson was ever worth anything after a 2k yd season.

On the Browns side - keep an eye on Massaquoi this week, can be used as a wr 4, though B.Watson is still the top target there in Cleveland. Moore is a nice
player at TE but right now ya can't trust a guy getting so few targets. Colt McCoy is doing well in his second year but I cannot recommend using him outside
of a 2 qb league setting. P.Hillis should be back doing his thing this week and is a solid start to get close to 100 yds and a score and catch 3-4 balls. It will be
also be interesting to see how Hardesty is mixed into the running game...for Hillis owners sake let's hope we don't start easing into a split here. Some are
saying to run to the Hillis with Mr.Madden right now, but me..i am sticking with Peyton until I see Hardesty "wow" me.

Minnesota at Kansas City 1:00 PM FOX Arrowhead Stadium
I hope this game is not on TV...surely not. I have a bone to pick with the Vikes coaching staff. They have the purple jesus and they gave him 17 touches last week.
You have a huge lead in the game, how hard is it to give him the rock 25-27 times and salt away that win. For fantasy owners and Vikes fans across the globe for
heaven's sake run AP more. Makes no sense not to take advantage of the most physically gifted running back in the league.
Start AP, Sit McNabb on the road, Start D.Bowe who I like alot this week and I also think McCluster is a spot flex start this week. thats about all I can recommend
in this matchup. Don't get fooled with Michael a ppr maybe...if you are really desperate.

Washington at St. Louis 1:00 PM FOX Edward Jones Dome
My Rams have looked so about a regression.
Sit - Sam Bradford in most leagues. He does not look good right now and you really have to be hurting to use Sam right now.
Sit - Cadillac Williams and Lance Kendricks (what a disappointment after a good preseason). All Rams WRs.
Caution - Be careful about rushing Sjax back into your lineups....he is barely a flex option at this point. Only way you are sure to play him is if you
get some real positive reports out of Rams camp heading into the weekend.
Out - D.Amendola

Washington has some good starts in this one: Timmy H.Tower has been great this season and is almost an RB 1 start for me here and S.Moss is looking good
as well...Sleeper alert! - Jabar Gaffney is a great play this week vs the Rams no.2 corner who couldn't cover his own shadow. Just ask
the Raven's Torrey Smith who scored 3 times vs the horrendous coverage. It's hard to say Start Grossman, but he is not a bad play this week though
I would not expect huge numbers. Start Fred Davis and Sit Cooley and also sit Roy Helu until his role becomes clearer. Some have dropped him already,
but be patient with him because it is a long season.

New Orleans at Jacksonville 1:00 PM FOX EverBank Field
This has the look of a blowout if you glance at it, but teams like the saints sometimes lay eggs when they gotta get outta the dome and play on grass fields...
add in alittle wind coming off the coast there in Jagsland and I can see the Saints winning but under performing in this game. Of course you play Brees and
J.Graham who is continuing to show that he is a stud at the TE position. With Colston back in the mix this week and Moore's value rising it will be
interesting to see what happens with R.Meachum the next few weeks. He could get lost in the shuffle at WR after 3 straight weeks with a TD.
Start Sproles who has been the best of the Saints RB's in your flex and Also take a look at Ingram this week. I called Ingrams first TD here in The Prep last week
and he could be in for some more good work if the Saints jump out to a big lead. I want to see what he can do with 15 plus touches.

On the Jags side, I like Mike Thomas more now with Gabbert in there...I also called in last week's Prep that his value would rise with someone under center
that could actually get him the ball, and MT got his first TD of the year. MJD looks good and is still a true no.1 rb. One good thing about having the young QB
is that they are going to run the ball...unlike alot of teams with good backs that have almost abandoned the run. Sit Mercedes Lewis until he gets over
this calf injury.

Pittsburgh at Houston 1:00 PM CBS Reliant Stadium
Start Schaub who has been playing great along with his beast No.1 WR Andre 3000. Owen Daniels will be used this week to slow Bllitzburghs rush so
I would play him as well. Could be another wait and see with Foster and Tate. Steve Slaton(wow what a fall from grace) was cut earlier this week so
maybe Foster is ready to roll. I am not so confident so will stick with him as a RB 2-3 this week. Tate is still a solid flex option going forward.
Sit - J.Jones who could be back this week and Sit K.Walter, yeah he scored last week, but if you saw the play it was off a tipped pass that I am not so
sure was even intended for him. D.Ward I believe is out again.

For Pitt start Big Ben who I look to go for 285 and 2 TD' least one to Mike Wallace who is just playing off the charts right now.
Look for a small rebound from R.Mendenhall who I am liking less and less as he disappoints us more often than not. Look for 65 yds and a TD this week.
Sit H.Miller, Hines Ward, A.Brown and E.Sanders - not sure what is going on with the role players in Pitt's passing game these days.

San Francisco at Philadelphia 1:00 PM FOX Lincoln Financial Field
Start Mike Vick, Desean Jackson who needs to bounce back after two bad fantasy weeks. Maclin is a nice play this week as well and I am calling
Steve Smith my sleeper for this matchup as the Eagles throw all over Frisco. McCoy has been off the charts this year and is one of if not the best
RB in the league right now. Sit J.Avant and B.Celek.

On the Frisco side I am only recommending playing Gore (ankle) if he suits up...I would almost rather see Kendell Hunter to see what he can do. The
Rookie knows pass protection and is ready to step in and roll. If you are a Gore owner and you don't have Hunter, go get him now.
Sit the rest of the Niners offense. Sleeper - M.Crabtree - Crabby has had a few weeks now to get back in the groove and should be a fantasy factor
sooner than later...probably not here vs these corners. Put him on your watch list.

NY Giants at Arizona 4:05 PM FOX U of Phoenix Stadium
Eli - suddenly hot facing a weak def on the road is a must start. Nicks is a great play along with the lounge singer Victor Cruz...let he sweet sounds of VC give your no.3
wr spot a silky look in week 4. Manningham still battling the concussion he got in wk2 is cleared to practice but not yet cleared to play.
A.Bradshaw is a start and RB2 this week and Jacobs is a flex option.

For Zona Kolb hasn't been awful but like a frozen pizza he hasn't been great either. Beanie was banged up last week leaving us with the styling of Chester
Taylor...hurry back Beanie! Wells has looked good when he can stay on the field...always a problem for him. Other than Fitzgerald who is a flat monster the
rest of this offense just doesnt scare me. I hope you guys didnt start Jeff King last week. You just knew that productions wasnt going to last. Looking
for someone else to emerge as a no.2 WR for the Cards. For now you have to sit guys like Early Doucet and Andre Roberts.

Atlanta at Seattle 4:05 PM FOX CenturyLink Field
Weren't the Falcons suppose to be a superbowl contender? Matty Ice has melted under the expectations and Michael Turner has done nothing but turn stomachs
blowing a sweet matchup for us last week with exactly 1-2 pt in most formats. Start him this week so he can redeem himself. R.White did come
back and have a big game with his catches and yardage last week...we expect him to finish this thing off and with some tds this week. Start Roddy!!!!
Start Ryan and Tony G who continues to do his thing. Sleeper this week is Julio Jones who I expect to have his first really good game of the year.

On the Seattle side it's slim picking with Marsh-Yawn Lynch hardly going beast mode on anyone. Sit Lynch this week. Tavaris Jackson is a joke under center for the Hawks.
Sidney Rice is back and will be targeted heavily. I like his prospects to do some garbage time damage this year and to help us out in ppr's. Sidney is a
tentative start at a WR 4 this week.
Don't think Pete carol doesn't have Andrew Luck on speed dial. Which is weird if it works out because they were Pac 10 rivals.

Miami at San Diego 4:15 PM CBS Qualcomm Stadium
Start Daniel Thomas...has emerged passed Reggie Bush and is looking like the real deal now in for him while ya can.
Rivers is putting up monster yardage numbers and should put up the TDs as well this week ...Vjack will be huge. I am officially concerned about the foot problems
of A.gates ...this could be a real down turn in his career. Makes me wonder if he will try to play through this or not, stay tuned to injury reports. Randy Mcmichael
is his sub if you are desperate for a TE. Ryan Matthews is finally showing owners why many were singing his praises predraft 2010, start him over Tolbert.
M.Floyd is not a guy I am playing right now most weeks because ya cant trust him but Miami has been
having trouble at the #2 corner spot all year so he may actually be a sleeper special this week if you are desperate for a WR 4 play.
Start B.Marshall who is having a good early season. Sit R.Bush in all formats and D.Bess this week (except in ppr's). Sit Henne as well.

New England at Oakland 4:15 PM CBS Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
Obviously Tom Terrrific is not going to throw another 4 ints so run him out with his energizer bunny Wes Welker. I am worried about the RB situation
and wonder if you can start anyone out of this group this week...stay away. Keep a watch on S.Ridley. Branch drops to a wr 4 this week after a no
catch week 3. Ocho remains on your bench. Gronkowski is a man child and the top fantasy TE right now.

Start McFadden who is running wild as he did earlier last year...makes ya wonder if he can sustain this and stay healthy. Start D.Moore the young play
making WR in Oakland who should be running wild through the lackluster Pats secondary. Jason Campbell is not a bad play this week vs that defense
that Ryan Fitzpatrick ripped to shreds. Jacoby Ford should be back this week to bolster the WR corp of the Raiders, but he is a sit till we see he is
back 100%. Sit M.Bush except in TD leagues where he could get a short TD this week.

Denver at Green Bay 4:15 PM CBS Lambeau Field
Rodgers Jennings Grant Finley Nelson all must starts
Sit Starks, had the fumble and grant could get the majority this week. Sit Driver and Jones as well...just not enough balls to go around.
Sit Kyle Orton..this has the makings of a nightmare game for Denver. Hey Tebow why don't you take this one in the tundra.
Sit Moreno for now. Use Mcgahee in the flex spot in your leagues. Willis has looked like the best back in Denver all season.
Play B.Lloyd who should look better this week recovering from the groin issue and keep playing E.Decker who is being targeted even more than Lloyd.

NY Jets at Baltimore 8:20 PM NBC M&T Bank Stadium
Big matchup at Baltimore this week.
NYJ - Sit Shonn Greene - LT is a better play catching balls out of the backfield..and frankly is the better player right now.
Start Sanchez cautiously - If he is your guy I say throw him out there because he has been good for the most part. Santonio Holmes is a good play along
with Keller. Has anyone seen Plaxico Burress? Maybe he is out gun shopping? I think the Jets should be playing D.Mason alot more on that side.
Flacco was fantastic last week but worries me abit in this matchup. Again like Sanchez start him if he is your best QB. d\Don't sit him for someone like a
Colt Mccoy or say Cam Newton who has a poor him out and he should do well enough to get ya 225 and a touch or too. Start Boldin
who will be on Revis island but is big enough to contend with Revis, but is more of a wr 2 this week. T.smith burst onto the scene last week, but pulled a
hammy while running through the rams defense...he is an exciting player going forward but I would not touch him here...classic letdown coming.
Of course run the bell cow Ray Rice who should get a ton of touches and play huge. Expect to see abit more of Ricky Williams to spell RR going forward.
Sit Dickson, he's no more than a td lottery right now. I assume Lee Evans is out...if he is back, just pretend he is out and sit or drop him.

"Are you ready for some football?" When you read this matchup the question may be "NO".
Indianapolis at Tampa Bay 8:30 PM Raymond James Stadium
MNF has to be hating the Manning injury about now because this one is a yawner supreme.
Start Freeman and L.Blount who should have nice game and run out Mike Williams if you really need a WR this week and hope he snaps
out of his funk. I am Sitting Mike Williams in the one league I have him, but that's only because I am loaded at WR...he is a viable #3 this week.
Start K.Winslow(though he could have a tough time vs the Colts LB's who have played well) and sit Preston Parker, Benn and Briscoe this week.

Start Reggie Wayne for sure and Clark if you don't have a better option. Addai is a weak flex option...Sit Garcon and Collie.
I would say sit Collins but who knows if he will even play...we could get a C.Painter sighting this week which may not be a bad thing because he
does have some repoire with Reggie Wayne how lobied for him to start week 1.
Tampa DST a must play this week.
