WEEK 13 WRITER'S SLEEPER CHALLENGE

It's already week 13...Bill has got a 27-22 lead on both Ryan and I in our overall competition. Again this week we roll out our sleeper picks trying not to repeat too many of the players we have used so far this year more than once to keep things fresh...not an easy task! Feel free to add your sleepers in the comments section and see how you do...I am sure Stephen will have something for us...anyone else wanna take a crack at it? Keep it well under the 50% ownership mark in yahoo leagues. We all agreed this week not to use Westbrook or Gerhart. Westbrook just ran for 135 yds on Monday night and Gerhart is a can't miss start if All Day AP doesn't play. To the picks...!

DEADHEADBILL's PICKS
I usually am wary of chasing last weeks numbers, but I'm going with Earl Bennett WR CHI(owned in 3% of Yahoo leagues)as my 1st sleeper this week--those of you who read the blog know that Show pointed him out a few weeks ago as a guy getting alot of looks in the redzone, and hopefully that trend continues--he wont get you a ton of yardage, but he's a very big target w/above average hands and a nose for the endzone--he should have a couple chances to find pay dirt. Playing in Detroit against a suspect secondary 50+ yards and a score are very possible.

My second sleeper has a matchup I just cant ignore. Danario Alexander is looking back to 100% after missing games vs CAR, SF and ATL--he's got a great young QB throwing him the ball so as long as he can stay on the field he should be able to carve up an Arizona defense that made the Niners look like they were on steroids. Alexander won't play every down because the Rams will protect his knee after a history of knee surgeries, but I expect 80+ yards and a trip to the endzone for Alexander on Sunday.

Ryan's Picks

Pick #1 - Tashard Choice - 4% owned - With a new coach in town, Choice is hoping to get more touches than he did in the previous regime, so here is to hoping Garret looks Tashard's way at least inside the 20 - I like the matchup against Indy's horrid rush defense as well. 8 carries - 32 yards and 2 TDs

Pick #2 - Jordy Nelson - 3% owned - Jordy is probably option 4 or so in the Green Bay pecking order, but it's still good enough to get 5 or 6 targets a game and generally he comes up with the catches when the ball is thrown his way - hopefully he'll get 5 catches for 62 yards.

Show's Picks

Jacoby Ford WR Oakland (23% owned in yahoo leagues) Ford is emerging as a play maker for the silver and black. This week the Raiders face the Chargers and will have to throw the ball to keep up. Ford has a knack for the big play and has a great chance to find paydirt this weekend.

James Davis RB Washington (2% owned) Recently waived by the Browns the talented young RB who showed flashes of brilliance in Cleveland before battling some injuries of late is now in Skins camp where Shanahan has no problem with letting the new guy have some run. He is going to get some looks...how much is hard to tell. This is a deep sleeper play...for those of you in very deep leagues...take a look at James as a sneaky wire grab.
