The Prep is back in full effect with full team capsules to get you ready for what could be the most crucial week so far of the fantasy football season. Many yahoo leagues start their playoffs in week 14 and the rest start in week 15. It's do or die, put up or shut up, it's time to bring your A game (or add you favorite cliche'). I've got my A game ready for a kick ass smackdown version of The Prep for week 13 of the NFL season...Let's do this...

St Louis Rams vs Arizona Cardinals
This game is at Arizona...does that matter, not likely...Sam Bradford is looking like a young Peyton Manning and even though he is throwing to a bunch of guys who couldn't get autograph requests in the Canadian Football League he continues to flat get it done...Start Sam across the board.
Also Start Stephen Jackson but beware...from what I saw last week Stephen is alittle slow to hit the hole...he is a monster once he gets going, but I found it interesting that he didn't get into the endzone on two plays from inside the five...he lost yardage on both, but K.Darby, his backup was given a carry and he basically went in untouched and looked much quicker...just store that away in your trapper keeper...Sjax days of being elite...are probably over.
Rams injury note - TE Hoomanawaui has an injury and could be done for the year...too bad he makes plays when he is out there.
Start WR D.Amendola. Sleeper: Danario Alexander WR Rams - a bigtime prospect when healthy.

For the Cards - God knows what is going on with the Arizona backfield...Beanie is a bum...Tim Hightower just plugs away, but who knows who will get the carries here..stay away from these clowns. Derek Anderson(maybe a decent no.2 in 2 QB leagues this week) is a bad player on most Sundays but the Rams DST certainly isn't scaring anyone the last couple weeks so a couple TDs are not out of the reason why you can't sit Fitzgerald in this game and S.Breaston isn't a horrible option.

Houston at Philly
Not sure if Ryan is doing a feature on this game or not so I will make it brief.
Eagles Starts - Houston's defense is terrible...start all the main guys in the Eagle offense and rejoice as they power you towards a victory.
Sit B.Celek...I know, I know the matchup is so so juicy and he scored last week...Mike Vick may not throw to him one time all game with those other guys raking in the big plays Thursday's not worth risking the goose egg. Sleeper: J.Harrison - I expect him to get a few looks in this game cause McCoy will be tired from running all over the Texans. Avant is also another sleeper this week for the Eagles.
Houston Starts - Houston competes...they use that big offense and they stay close in these games...Expect Schaub, Foster and Andre3000 to do their thing in Philly.
Sit - K.Walter, J.Jones, J.Dreesen...these guys are too much of a risk this week.

Baltimore and Pittsburgh.
Steeler Starts - I like Big Ben to be serviceable this week, maybe 210 and 2 td's. Looking at his numbers in his last five games vs the Ravens they are certainly not much to look at. 9 TDs in 5 total games...less than 2 per game. I like him for 2 this game because I am not at all impressed with the Ravens corners this year...they are very average. Look for Hines Ward and Mike Wallace to have lower ydge numbers but both grab a score. Sit H.Miller, Randle El.
Sleeper. E.Sanders...will be off the Ravens radar.
Ravens Starts - I don't like the Ravens offense this week and will try to avoid it if I can across the board. Flacco is not good when pressured and Dick Lebeau knows this...Pittsburgh will make him move around and make mistakes. If you have to play a Ravens WR this week I would say Boldin is a decent play as he is physical enough to play this type of a game. Mason is iffy here, T.Heap is a safety valve and never a bad TE play. Sit TJ Houshmanzadeh, Stallworth and Mcgahee.

Tennessee and Jacksonville
One of my favorite sleepers is in this game. Nate Washington, WR, Titans was targeted 9 times last week catching 5 of them...look for big things vs a secondary that has covered no one all year. Randy Moss is on the other side garnering all the attention while being virtually unplayable in fantasy circles. K.Collins back this week means there will at least be some offense out of the Titans.
Sit - Like I said, I'd sit Moss until he shows us he hasn't mailed it in.
also sit J.Gage. Sleeper - B.Scaife - Collins will use him from time to time and the match up is a good one.
Jags Starts - Tenn. has looked like a team that is already playing out the string the past few weeks. I like Garrard this week along with his top target Mike Sims Walker who was targeted frequently in the red zone last week. Mike Thomas is not a terrible start, but is more attractive in leagues with KR yardage. Sit Mercedes Lewis...sure he goes off once every 4 weeks, but who can predict it...his new nickname should be
the menstrual cycle. Sit R.Jennings...don't expect another td this week.

Washington Redskins at the NY Giants
For the Skins things are looking bleak. I expect the Giants to roll in this game. I do think Washington could be good for some garbage time fantasy points. McNabb's overall numbers this year don't look terrible because he has got a ton of garbage time, late game stats after playing like crap and getting his team into a hole. Same will happen this week most likely with Cooley and S.Moss being startable players. K.Williams is the most versatile healthy back left but James Davis is a sneaky deep league sleeper that was recently acquired after being waived by the Browns.
I'd Sit Williams after a poor performance last week and sit the rest of the Skins WR's as well.
Giants Starts - Are you guys as pissed as I am that Coughlin is messing with Bradshaw's carries. This guy has been an underrated stud this year and now he is giving the ball to Jacobs? I am still starting Bradshaw unless I have a clear cut feature to sit him for ...for example a guy like Fred Jackson for Buffalo who is hot right now. You can play Jacobs and Bradshaw, but you can't expect huge numbers from either. Sit D.Hagan this week and M.Clayton probably isn't ready either. With the WR injuries to S.Smith and H.Nicks Manningham is a must start every week as the Giants number one, but here is a disturbing stat...last two starts, 7 total targets. Roll him out in all formats, but don't think he is gonna get H.Nicks numbers because his one massive game was mostly garbage time production vs Dallas.
Sleeper is K.Boss who is getting more looks now.

Oakland vs San Diego
Start Mcfadden Start Super Sleeper Jacoby Ford WR - Raiders.
Sit Jason Campbell and Z.Miller
Start SD DST
Injury note - A.Gates does not look healthy...he's about half speed I'd say. Crayton, Vjack, M.Floyd all questionable and possibly out. Check the injury reports and my Active and Inactives lists on the twitter acct at westheshow and on our showfantasysports facebook page on Sunday morning up to game time. Any Charger WR bkups are viable starts if given the reps...Ajirotutu, Kelley Washington, Naanee...Rivers makes them all look good.
Sleeper: D.Sproles can certainly take up the slack for the injured WR's catching balls out of the backfield.
Start Mike Tolbert who's been money all year.
Sit - Ryan Matthews - he is close to coming back and may this week, but I am not playing him...not yet. Has the tools but just is not an option right now.

theATL at Tampa Bay
Start Matty Ice, but don't expect gaudy numbers and of course his boy Roddy White. Start Tony G...looking better in recent weeks and should be a target over the middle where the cover two allows for those throws.
Sit - M.Jenkins and Snelling (Injury)
Tampa Starts
Start Josh Freeman, looked good last time out vs Atlanta
Start - L.Blount...this kid is a load and will run well at home.
Sit - Caddy, too inconsistent. Sleeper - A.Benn
Risk Reward Start - K.Winslow..feast or famine type of player these days.

Cleveland at Miami
Cleveland Starts - Peyton Hillis...the white AP as I like to call him....obviously an every week play.
Other than that I cannot recommend Jake Delhomme or anyone else on this offense.
Miami - Henne was serviceable last week and won't be a terrible play here, though the Browns have a sneaky DST and take the ball away alot.
Start Ronnie and Ricky, look for them both to have decent outings worthy of a flex start.
B.Marshall is practicing, expect him back this week...starting him is a risk cause here we are at week 13 and he has 1 total TD....him and Randy Moss are killing fantasy owners here when it counts. I like the matchup and think Brandon is a low end number 2, high end no.3 WR start.
D.Bess is not a terrible start here, but is a better option in pprs.
Sleeper - B.Hartline could get some looks down the field in this one. He is a nice deep league play this week.
Well there are your first 8 games...I will have the other 8 in The Prep for week 13 pt.2.
